Taught by Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Al-Khattab, this course is an introduction to reading the Qur'an in Arabic. The first six weeks of this course will be an introduction to reading in Arabic in preparation for reading the Qur’an. The second six-weeks will be focused on perfecting the student’s recitation of the last half of the 30thJuz of the Qur’an. This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate students. The class will meet online, via the WebEx platform Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Additional sessions will be added as needed. Deadline to register: Sunday, November 7, 2021 Class is limited to 5 people. If more are interested, we will consider opening a second time slot. About the Instructor: Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Al-Khattab

Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Al-Khattab began his journey to sacred knowledge by studying the foundations with Imam Amin Muhammad. He then moved to Tarim, Yemen and studied in Dar Al-Mustafa. Thereafter, he enrolled in Al Azhar University in Egypt where he earned his bachelor’s degree while also studying under several shuyukh. Presently, he serves as Assistant Imam and teacher at Masjid Muhammad of Atlantic City.
